President Sirleaf Congratulates New Egyptian Leader

The President of the Republic of Liberia, Her Excellency Madam Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf , has sent a congratulatory message to the President-Elect of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mohamed Morsi, on the occasion marking his election as President of that country.
In the message, President Johnson -Sirleaf on behalf of Liberia, extended heartfelt felicitations and best wishes to the President-Elect on his preferment, adding that Mr. Morsi's victory shows the confidence which the Egyptian people reposed in his ability to lead them.
The Liberian leader further added that the Egyptian elections mark a great victory for democracy, not only in Egypt, but also in contemporary Africa.
President Johnson Sirleaf also wished for the Government and people of Egypt peace, prosperity and good health, as Liberia looks forward to strengthening the bilateral relations existing between the two countries.
Madam Johnson Sirleaf assured the new Egyptian leader of Liberia's collaboration with Egypt on the implementation of the objectives of the African Union.
She then prayed that the Almighty God will shower Mr. Morsi with abundant wisdom and good health as he leads his compatriots to nobler heights.
