The Inquirer Photo Editor, Kennedy Zobah, with several personalities was last Sunday honored as a Special Father by the Church of the Lord Aladura's Logan Town Branch. The event occurred during the churches' 40th anniversary worship and Father's Day program which witnessed eight others of the Montserrado Dioceses being honored as Special Fathers for 2012-2013.

During the program the preacher of the day Elder Deacon A. Tamba Gborie I, said as the church celebrates its 40th long years of struggling, preaching, teaching, praying and winning souls, he prays that God will continue to give them the strength and courage to work for God.

On the Father's Day ceremony, he said true fathers are fathers who will withstand the test of times in the church and outside the church, while a determined father is the light of the church. The Prelate noted that a good father has over oversight over his family, the community and exemplary at his work place.

Elder Deacon Gborie taking his text from John 10-10, Acts 4-12 and Joushua 24-14-16, said in the Bible, Joshua stood firm as a father to lead the children of Israel and therefore warned the congregation that they should be fathers who will be able to lead their children.

The Prelate said that Joshua was a strong and a courageous man and therefore they should follow such a good example to always be there when they are needed by their church, their family and their society. He said when trial times come; a father has a great task to play especially when the devil comes in to play his evil game.

He said a father is the one who will teach and instruct his children how to serve the God. Deacon Gborie noted that a father is one who is serious, no nonsense, and will not want to see his family down, but a good example to all.

Those honored were Deacon J. Neh Blamo as the Father of the Years 2912-2013  while  INQUIRER Photo Editor Kennedy Zobah of the Jamaica Road Church, along with Augustine G.Paye of Logan Town, Sr. Prophet Charlie Nyumah of Blackie Island, Deacon Nathaniel Swen of New Kru Town, and Rev.
